When your car already has wired CarPlay but you would rather leave your phone in your pocket, the Elosung 2-in-1 adapter provides wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through the existing infotainment screen. It is designed for vehicles with factory-installed wired CarPlay.

Setup involves connecting the adapter to the car’s USB or Type-C data port, then pairing your phone using Bluetooth and WiFi. Once connected, compatible navigation, music, calls and messages can be accessed through the car’s display without plugging the phone in each time.

The adapter supports iPhone 6 and newer models, along with Android phones running Android 11 or later. Its connection uses both WiFi and Bluetooth, while the 5V 1A power specification suits the supplied vehicle connection requirements. The housing combines an acrylic lens with aluminium alloy and measures 55.1 mm high, 28.2 mm long and 9 mm wide, making it small enough to sit discreetly near the car’s data port. App-dependent navigation functions can include lane-level rendering, road condition reminders and speeding reminders when supported by the navigation app.
