Description

The Bariloche 5.5m x 3.0m retractable awning provides motorised shade across a wide outdoor area, making it suitable for shoppers fitting out patios, verandahs or other home entertaining spaces. Its full cassette encloses the awning when retracted and gives the installation a neat contemporary appearance.

The awning operates from a wireless remote control through a 50 Nm Dooya tubular motor concealed inside the aluminium roller tube. It connects using a 2.0m power cord with a sealed three pin plug, so setup involves plugging it into an outdoor waterproof outlet.

Its folding arms and casing use powder coated 6061 grade aluminium, while dual PVC coated cables provide high spring tension to keep the fabric taut. The 280g/m² polyester fabric has a UV 40+ rating. The arms are designed and tested to withstand winds up to Beaufort 5, or 38 km/h, although this rating does not make the awning weatherproof. A manual crank override allows operation when there is no power, and stainless steel nuts and bolts are used throughout.

When retracted, the powder coated aluminium cassette helps protect the fabric and mechanism from dirt and corrosion, keeping the awning ready for the next shaded outdoor setting.
