Description
The Palermo Double Wall Bed is designed for rooms that need to work harder. It folds into a white gloss cabinet when you need open floor space, then lowers to provide a double bed for sleeping.
Use it in a spare bedroom, studio apartment, home office or guest room where a permanent bed would take up too much room. The closed cabinet measures 151 x 40 x 197 cm, while the bed extends 204.6 cm from the wall when open.
The bed frame uses heavy duty metal with a black powder coated finish, supported by wooden flexi slats. Two 90 kg hydraulic pistons assist with lifting and lowering, and the slow fall mechanism provides a controlled opening. The slatted frame measures 138 x 188 cm and suits an Australian standard mattress measuring 137 x 187 cm with a maximum thickness of 20 cm. A mattress weighing 20 to 25 kg is recommended, and the bed has a 250 kg weight rating.
Supplied flat packed with hardware and instructions, the Palermo wall bed suits confident DIY builders. Its cabinet must be fixed to a solid wall, making professional installation a practical choice when carpentry work is outside your experience.
